Obviously not as good, but still interesting to see the 918 dominate again. And the douchiness entertained me. The cup crew or whatever is amazing. Haha

The tire they used is standard on the Porsche but not the Ferrari and 918, I believe. That's why they didn't mention they changed it on the Porsche (though they did put a new set on the Porsche).

They also said that the 918 "disappeared" when they put the Trofeo R tires on it - ie, it was the fastest of the lot with that tire.
They said that about the 918? I don't remember that. Seems weird they would post the p1s time on the R and not the 918 if it smoked it.
All cars were on the same tires for the official lap times, though, which was their point of the test - put equal rubber on them and see where they end up.

I think you got it turned around. It was the P1 that dusted the rest of the group with the Trofeo R tires on it - at least according to the OP's video. If you have an alternative test, I would be interested in seeing it.

Would be interested to see lap times if each manufacturer put their own hotshoe in each car.

Also, gotta love that they put the cars on equal tires - they're really listening to the internet quarterbacks.
sort of interesting. You see it a little differently than me. The Fez almost looked skittish to me while the P1 looked pretty rock solid. Only time the P1 looked to be moving around a bit more was when Chris did what Chris does and swung it out. In that case the P1 looked all to happy to scoot out the rear but it looked smooth and pretty graceful. Could be my dislike of the LaF but it just looks skittish and unstable to me.

Watched that and was SO annoyed. On one hand, I suppose it speaks well about the 918 as far as it being confidence inspiring, but there were so many biases and opinions and the guy is a terrible "show" host. interesting to see the differences in outcomes, but theres no doubt in my mind the P1 should have dominated around that track as well and I was honestly surprised the Pagani was slower around than the Veyron.

I'm only a few minutes in, but it seems abundantly clear that the P1 showed up with the best tires, Ferrari and Porsche had good tires, so he had Pirreli supply two more sets of the best tires. Clearly they were to be used to put the Porsche and the Ferrari on the best tires, as to make them equally tired as the P1.

The Ferrari would get my money if I had that much lying around. Maybe in black though.

Awesome video. It would be hard to go wrong with any of those cars. I don't buy cars based on lap times, so if I had the cash I would buy the one that gave me the most thrilling emotional response. Things like feel, exhaust note, etc. I suspect that would end being the Ferrari but obviously only test drives would let me know for sure.

I think the 918 ran the MPSC2 tire.
