options for a daily beater

Default options for a daily beater

im looking for a daily car(with some requirements) and need some options please.

1. rwd - im just now getting used to rwd in my s and i dont want to have to start over.
2. manual
3 reliable/cheap to maintain
4. cheap - 3/4 grand
5. space - a little more than the s or a car i can install a roof rack on

any options are appreciated

Is300 for under 4k? I can't even find them under 9k near me especially one with a 5 speed

Best of luck to you. I think for that price you are either looking at old, or pickup truck (and old). Personally I would dump the RWD requirement. It opens up lots of good options such as the Mazda Protege.

A 3/4k reliable beater isn't easy to come by these days. You won't find anything in RWD. I'm thinking civic/corolla, and an older one at that (Pre 2000).
