i don't think it looks that bad...granted it's just a redesigned cavalier and they will continue to be 75000mile throwaways it looks a lot better...205HP sounds pretty good to me too.

this car was tuned on the Nuremberg Ring. It will provide excellent handling. The Ion redline posted better numbers than srt4. About the rsx, "Our '02 test car pulled a ho-hum 0.83 g on the skidpad and required 196 feet to stop from 70 mph, the worst in that test. The '05 version improves skidpad performance to 0.86 g" (car and driver RSX Ts). The ion redline pulled .85g. The fit and finish are great for a gm product, just not as good compared to RSX. Why do people knock on gm's new ecotec when they have proven it to be solid. I love hondas, but I want to see some factory FI.

Lotus worked on the Cobalt SS and the Saturn ION Redline. They have an engineering facility in MI and for the past year had quite a few of these cars there. Some of prototypes still had European and Australian plates in the front. Maybe that explains the decent handling on the Cobalt SS, wonder what happened with the Redline though.

My opinion it's a car with some good performance numbers, wouldn't own it though, I think the only American I would ever think about owning would be a Corvette. Just my opinions
