I didn't state what spec my car was, nor any opinions on track performance just, as stated, an opinion on Elise 1/4 mile time.

If you must know my S has the Comptech SC with 4" pulley, Emanage and 440cc injectors. Puts down 214rwkw.

If it makes you happier, I expect the Elise would beat my S on a circuit because it will handle better. But that wasn't the question I was answering.
Sorry, I'm a bit off the ball today. I lost my job, may not get the Elise, and may have to sell my S2K, so, I'm not all there tonight. Just venting. Thanks for the clarification though.

I still hope to get my Elise and spank a SC S2K.

Ouch, sorry to hear it. There's always plenty of opportunity to get the plan back on track so don't let it get you down.

Thanks, my problem, didn't mean to bring the topic down. Just ignore me for today. I LOVE the S2K and the ELISE, so I'm happy no matter who does best. I was just looking forward to a new car and keeping the S. So, it's all good to me. Both are great cars.

I parked my MY04 yellow S2k, top down, and went off to play soccer. When I returned, what was parked right next to me but a brand new, yellow Elise, top down. Very striking, and very small--quite a bit shorter than my S2k. I doubt I'd fit in it, but it's a fine looking car for those of us who like simple designs. No owner in sight to talk with. The two beauriful, brand new yellow topless cars looked pretty good next to each other.

Probably looked similar to this? I'd like to see how there was a yellow Elise next to you though. It would have to have been an Euro version, as there are not many US spec cars here right now, let alone Saffon Yellow cars. Cool run in though.

Or this:

Although neither are yellow and they aren't side by side, but you get the idea!

AU has way more Elise's than the US does now. We only have one autoshow SY car here in the states. It would be hard to have a street SY Elise here right now unless it was an import or an older Exige. I find it hard to believe he just happened to have a SY Elise pull up and park next to him.

I test drove the original Elise here in 97 and they've been selling ever since although I happen to know that in 2000 they sold 8!

The reason I know this is that in 2001 a new company took over the distributorship and increase sale 300% (to 24).

Tidalwdave - you seem to have a real problem with trust today.

Please explain that statement to me. You do know that the Elise is not for sale in the US yet. Maybe I'm missing your point?

It would be hard for someone in the US to have a SY Elise parked next to them in the US by chance when there are none for sale here.

What are you trying to say?

Sorry, I left off the etc.

Just seems that every post has "I find that hard to believe" or similar in it.
