Opinions on Lotus Elise?

i think it would be less of a success in the states because the car is a bit pricey here. not many people can afford to spend $40K on a toy. the elise, imo, is definitely not a car that you can have as your only car.

how much do they go for, new, in the UK?? any idea what that translates to in dollars??

whats wrong with the engines? any S/C or turbo potential. or any other mods. 190 hp is crazy for a car that weighs less than 2000 lbs. but it would be great to have more
