Oh lets me check, $1.2 Million Enzo doesn't even have a cassette player
Actually the price was 643,000 new. Beyond that I think the comparison is a bit awkward. While the Enzo is an out and out race car for the streets, the NSX falls closer to the GT category, the Type-R version not withstanding.

[QUOTE] It would be a real alternative to a 911.

Actually the 04' NSX comes standard with a 6 CD Changer.

Not to go off topic but I find it strange how when people mention the Z06 they talk about the "discounted" prices that people are getting for around $43K (from $55K MSRP), but when people talk about the NSX all of a sudden it the MSRP of $90K. Currently people are getting 20%-25% discount off MSRP on these cars. I will agree that even then I would not buy one. I will be getting one on their special lease though. The lease terms are equalvalent to a $50K car. In that case I really think the NSX makes sense. In looking at other $50K cars I think the NSX is as good as most/all of them. The lease terms are similar to a $50K car, not paying $50K during the lease (just to make that clear). Not flaming just finding it odd that when people talk about american cars it is always about value, and performance, but when Japanese & German cars are brought up it always seems to go back to MSRP.

I could not agree more.

I'd like to talk about the NSX being "old". That's BS. Sure it's age will lower demand. Used NSXs are cheaper, the real crazy NSX people may already have one by now.

Just because the NSX is old doesn't mean it's not good. But I just think the price should go down (not up). Consider the Ford F150. Ford brings out a new model but may keep a "Heratage" model around at a low low price, because after all the old truck isn't bad, it's just not new and improved.

Consider what if Porsche had continued building the 993 (?) air-cooled 911. Or what if Ferrari was still building the 355? Are you going to tell me those were bad cars?

If Ferrari came out with a "heratage" F355 tomorrow, and priced it at $100K they'd sell as many as they wanted. If they priced it at $160K they'd sell only a few.

I therefore contend, it's not that the NSX is a bad car, it's just priced too high and it's not available in numbers for the dealers to bother with it. I bet there are Acura dealers who haven't sold a NSX in years.

Why?? Lots of cars still have mechanical odometers. Actually, I like them better than the digital ones.
