Anybody else see an Infiniti badge on the steering wheel?
I don't know what badge that is, but it's not an Infiniti badge - unless it's an upside-down Infiniti badge. It more closely resembles the Mazda badge, but obviously isn't that one either.

Ah! Found it! GM Daewoo.

Two different strange English translations of the press release:

[QUOTE]1) Chevrolet Cruze: Cruze will be the first vehicle to build on GM

I never knew that, apparently, Korea literally means "peninsula."

"utilization edifice"
"quaternary eld of start"
"decorous numbers"
"digit removed face grills"

Love it.

You mean you sat in a Holden and an Opel? Those are "borrowed" cars, not homegrown GM cars.

GM's SUVs and trucks now have well built, classy interiors. The Cadillac CTS looks great. Now they need to take what they learned and apply it to their mainstream cars, especially those in the $15K-$25K range. If Honda can do it in a Civic, GM can do it in a Cobalt.
Yes, exactly - they are Holdens and Opels, but all GM products. GM makes good vehicles and is profitable overseas - it gave us crap cars here in the US and is paying for it now. That's why 90% of its "good" cars come from overseas now.

The new era of GM cars are so much nicer than the old - I would have laughed if you told me GM could build decent cars 4 years ago.

Good looking exterior, and that interior looks fantastic!

Now whether or not they'll bring it here with that same level of quality is another question. There's a possibility we may get a not-as-nice version, seeing how that's what Ford will be doing with the next Focus: while the car itself will (finally) be mostly the same here and there, the Euro models will have a nicer interior due to the fact they make more off the European sales (thanks a lot, garbage US Dollar).

Thanks for the correction.

Hey, I drove one of those Pontiacs er Holdens for two years. I had a 2005 GTO. I had every intention of laughing at it as I wandered up to it in the showroom. Then I opened the door and lo.....it wasn't uber crap interior I was expecting. Long story short. I bought the thing when I found out it had the C6 Vette drivetrain in an Opel chassis with a very decent interior. No complaints after two years.
The GTO was the first GM car I sat in that I liked in pretty much every way. It wasn't perfect but it was close enough. Great seats, nice interior layout, decent materials, and a big engine to put a smile on my face.
