$29 for a gallon of BMW spec antifreeze...you can keep it. The Porsche screams 'my owner cant afford a 911', the audi is ugly.
Gimme the vette, actually gimme an S2000.
Gimme a black 2005 S2000 with a loud stereo.
Oh, that's what I got.

C&D's take on the Vette isn't significant (far less than general decline in car sales, the economy, etc.).
You can take the above an swap out Corvette for Porsche and it's the same kind of thing.

All kidding aside, there is a small number us who have realized what a performance bargain the Vette is after owner underpowered sportscars, or who have been won over by just how good the C6 is. But, for what I suspect is the vast majority of Corvette owners, there simply is no other car. The Corvette represents to them the pinnacle of automotive exotica. (I also suspect that these are the same guys who buy automatics, haha)

It's a fair point, guys who buy Vettes will buy Vettes. It's the same unstoppable drive that prompted them to grow a mustache in the first place.

I've since had to move and change my name. Sometimes at night I hear the low rumble of automatic shifted Chevy V8's and the faint sound of Bob Seger and I get scared...
