Electronic parking brake in the Z4?
And a 3500 lb curb weight with its folding HT. The Z4 is now officially a cruiser, but it looks good.

I can see how they'd pick the CS and the Z4 over the Vette, but come on, over the TTS?
The Audi can't be beat in terms of refinement and luxurious interior, but I thought they were comparing convertible sports cars.

Vette finishing last doesn't surprise me. From what I gathered it was a non-Z51 model with runflat tires and it was a rental car with some hard miles on it.

It still anniliated everything in top-end acceleration. Boxster was close to 60mph due to brutal launch control and PDK tranny.

Different strokes, they are all cool cars, but I still like my Vette as I know many, many people like their Porsche, Audi, and BMW cars.

So the PDK slips the clutch at 5k rpm to produce maximum power without spinning the tires too much. I wonder how long the clutch will last in that system.
It should last quite a while. PDK uses a wet clutch, as most dual clutch boxes do, which can stand up to significantly more abuse than a dry one. The liquid helps with friction and thermal deterioration. They are very touchy, but since it is computer/hydraulically controlled it isn't as sensitive as if your left foot were trying to manage it. Of course time will tell how long they last.

The Corvette interior was put to shame by even the short lived Holden GTO. For $10,000 less you got the same motor, a better interior, and backseat. It showed that GM could do an interior in a muscle/pony car, but proved that GM North America couldn't. For the $45,000 they are asking for on the Corvette they really should step it up, not with 2LT and 3LT packages but on the base model. Maybe then they could sell them without the discounts.

Nobody seems to whine about the new Z4 putting on weight... yet there were about 50000 threads about the 370z not losing enough weight.
