The m5 isnt rated anything, because its not out yet.
Next, it will be the same speed as any other M, like BMW always does, M3, m5, z8 are all 4.8 to 60.
The top speed will be set at 155.
It 500 from a v10, as opposed to 400 from a v8. Not that big a deal. Everyone is talking about like it is an event. They had the advantage of mercedes coming out with an e55 first, so they can study it, and make the m5 demolish it. Sure if will beat hte e55 on a track (although not by much), but who is gonna track that car? Whatever, you can have your opinions and I can have mine. It looks exactly the same as a regular 5 series, except for the quad tips.

I think it takes a little longer to design a car than the time period between when the E55 came out and now/near future. So the whole "studying" point you made is pretty much wrong.
I'm also sure the M5 will beat the E55 at the track by far. Not small distances. Benz's are passenger cars....simple as that. BMW's are designed with more of the driver in mind than anyone else.
It's not a radical change. Why? Maybe because even all the previous M series were always almost the same as the lower versions of it's series. It's just a trend the company has.
One last thing....a possible 100hp not a big deal???? That's really some shit right there. Anyways, there's a huge difference between N/A and F/I and it's really too bad that you cannot see or appreciate that. Considering that the E55's engine is a 5.5L engine and it's F/I'ed and makes 469hp from it, is really not even remotely impressive. It to me seems like they spent very little RnD in this area of the car. I guess they spent all their money and time on where to put their cupholders .
