I think I'll reserve judgement until I see it in person, it okay, but I'm not totally in love w/ exterior yet.

Interior is nice. I just realize how dated the S interior now looks

They still left those uber-fugly aircraft carrier cargo bay door handles on it. Shame.

I really like it. I love that Nissan is moving a model to something smaller and lighter, that's something we haven't seen in a LONG time. Hopefully others will follow.

When I saw the "Is the 370z NOW a true contender against the S?" thread in S2k talk and nearly lost it. Freakin crazy s2k fanbois over there. If a 350Z can hold it's own against an S2000 (and it certainly can IMO), this thing should walk all over one.

apples and oranges, the 350/370 is a completely different car/audience, and the reason it sells so well is there is a complete lack of competition at the price point...Toyota and Honda could likely stomp this ubiquitous eyesore, they just don't care...even Hyundai will throw something at it with their new "sports car"

anyway, I'm not worried, and I'll enjoy smoking this one with the FD, like the many 350Zs to date

That's a sour grapes way to look at things. The facts are that Nissan is Japan's premiere sports car maker today and that Honda and Toyota aren't really in the game anymore.

and that's unfortunate, because competition improves the breed (look at sport bikes)...hopefully the C6 will come down a bit in price because it's a superior car in every respect
