NSX successor to be announced tonight!

[quoteJeez, there's less than 20k NSX's in the world? Maybe Honda purposely made it overpriced for exclusivity.
[/quote]
Yeah -- that's it. The low sales had nothing to do with the performance to dolllar ratio.
Ding dong the NSX is dead. About ing time.

The weight of the batteries are probably gonna kill the sportiness of the new NSX though.

I'm kind of interested in what more people would like to see from Honda regarding the NSX replacement.
Would it be an all out exotic, price be damned with all the possible technology and tricked out materials they can throw in it. Or would you rather it be a Z06/Viper/911 fighter with a more approachable price of $60-70K. One could argue the performance line between affordable supercar and all out exotic has been blurred so badly as of late (if we believe the Z06's rumored numbers) that it's not so much a question of performance anymore as it is a question of availability/affordability vs. exclusivity. I can understand some of you may have the urge to immediately think "Enzo Killer!!!", because I love drooling over that type of stuff too but the reality is I'm never going to own one so it does little good for me. Much like the rumored Blue Devil Corvette, it sounds amazing and I sure do get excited reading about a 600-720HP Vette but at a projected 100K+ even if I can "pay" for it I'm not going to spend that much on a car unless I have so much money $100,000 is trivial. Plus for me, I'd sure be interested in seeing what "$65,000 worth of S2000-like" sportscar would be.

Plus, Toyota's Alessandra Volta may be the first gas-electric supercar.

Since the discussion is open for "I want" here we go
Context, you know it will be pricey and they need to give us a lot on the first round
I won't get after performance but I figure Honda can afford a C6 Z06 to test against
Power, a 4 liter v8 (lets say they can do 150 hp per liter now since our engines are 6 years old tech wize) for a friendly 600 hp total, maybe 320 lb ft on the torque side and normally aspirated
All wheel drive for us suffering snow belt types
longitudinal motor layout (death to tranverse)
hard top convertible (P cars, F cars and vettes open up, this car should too)
scizzor doors
3100 lbs max
smg option for us stuck in traffic city folks or a stick
Electronics done with a tuner shop instead of a manufacturer so we can have good speakers like Focals along with our nav, big amp and mp3 ready hifi bluetooth world
Alcantara seating with real wool tufenkian capets and stickley woodwork (carbon fiber for the tech types)

All wheel drive is a must, and hp should be in the 500-600 range (as most everyone else is saying). Whether it come from a f/i v6 or na v8 is up to Honda, (though I think the v8 is more likely the way to go as they can apply that technology to their trucks/suv's).
Keep a nice mix of aluminun and cf in the frame and body, driver-oriented interior, no real special requests there for me.
The HSC looked nice, IMO, just be sure to change the back-end.

i'd be happy with
3200lb weight
4.0 V8
450 HP
$70K
to compete with 997
Seriously, once it starts nearing $100K.....well I don't know if rich people would plunk down $100K for a Honda and I'd probably be looking at a 997 GT3
