The NSX may not have been very impressive in this comparison, but at the time of its release it was a bargain. It was head and shoulders above the 348, but then it was joined by tons of competition. Most rivals did not match the NSX in all areas (handling, reliability, livability, etc), but its power deficiency started to grow with competition like the Viper, Supra, etc.

Steve, the tone of your thread title combined with the substance of your post (diagram of drag race style comparison) reveal your true motives despite any disclaimer text you happen to place in parenthesis next to your signature.

Puhleez, pretty much everyone here already knows you think the NSX is a waste of money, so don't try to play the unbiased bystander who's oh so shocked. You sound like a condescending old woman at a country club from some 80's movie.

Ahh, it just shows what most NSX owners have been saying. The NSX is not a good drag race car.

Also, if the 1/4 mile is 1320ft, and the NA1 3.0 5-Speed NSX traps the 1/4 mile at about 104MPH, then why does it take it 1334ft to reach 100MPH in this test? Was this NSX tested an automatic? A 3.0 NSX should be reaching 100MPH before it reaches the 1/4 mile 91320) point.

The NSX was a "poor man's F 348".
It was widely acknowledged that the NSX was a better car than the 348 and for less money. It forced Mr Ferrari to sit up and take notice.

The NSX took 14.4 seconds to reach 101.9mph in this comparison. It took the RT/10 12.1 seconds to reach 101.5mph.....slow times for both cars.

That motorcycle is fast, I mean faster than an Enzo (?)
Interesting tidbit in the text for all those TL fanatics
