I'm pretty far down on the wait list, but hoping for 04 delivery. I used to own an S2000. My daily driver is and will continue to be an M3. One day, an M5. That would be the perfect combination. Brutally fast and posh daily driving, and purely visceral, no holds barred track performance. Hopefully one day.

I'd never get the Elise as an only car though, as I wasn't happy with the S2k as a daily driver.

I'd love to see a comptech or vortech supercharger on one of these. Imagine, 350HP in a 2000LBS car?

I drove an Elise extensively when I was in England. They are great, etremely fun cars, but are they worth 10k-15k more than an S2000? No way, not by a long shot. The main reason is the gearbox and engine though. It wasn't even up to par with my old '95 Civic EX Coupe. Maybe the Toyota conversion will make all the difference.

How does this give you an Elise for 33k? He didn't buy it and isnt' selling it. I think you will be surprised to see what these are going for used if someone buys it and does not want it. His spot will either be taken by the next on the list or the dealer will sell the car off the showroom floor for over MSRP. This car will not be 33k anytime soon. Don't get too excited.
