Aaaah. Quattro. I would much rather get home safely during the weeks of snow than lose a magazine race to a car I'll never line up with on a dragstrip.

And to those that were wondering, yes the previous generation 50:50 split Quattro is more stable in the snow than the current 40:60.

Where are you? Minnesota (not asking as a joke)? I'd love to be in powder weather. The desert in winter is for the birds.

Always made me wonder what the split is on my fx45.

It's decent in the snow but not as good as my Jeep GC's or Navigator and not nearly as good as my mom's MDX. That thing is a monster in the snow.

What year FX?

Later years came with "snow mode" that would start off at 50:50 split.

The MDX is very stable in snow, but lacks some of the grip with the FWD bias.

sold my 03 a4 3.0 quattro for my S..... and i drove that like it was a monster truck through the worst storms last year..so much fun and effortless to get around here....and now..bwahaha the S is so pathetic even with winters on it but it is manageable with extreme caution to say the least

I love the RS4.... still my dream car. Glad to see you're not afraid to use it in the winter!

Funny I have 100% rear wheel bias all time on my Boxster and I have 0 problems plowing through snow here in Montreal.

yea, but hows the 40:60 in dry weather handling compared to 50:50?
