Default non-s2k: 97 prelude help

I know that there is alot of you guys with s2k's and preludes, but now striaght to the point. My girlfriend as a 97 lude and it keeps burning out headlight bulbs. Every 2 months it will kill another bulb. Also they are really dim, i have checked the leveling and all that good stuff. I have also cleaned the outside of the lens with scratch remover. Just though i would try to get some ideas on whats up.

I had a problem like this with my 97 Honda Civic. I would keep putting bulbs in and they would be dim and burn out fairly quick. Took the car to Honda and they found the problem to be with the wiring harness and had to replace some of the electrical system and actually cost me $500 to fix. Now, for the cause of the problem... I had previously bought some aftermarket bulbs for the car which had a really high wattage and burned out really quick. After that I replaced the bulbs with the OEM ones and thats when I noticed that the light was real dim. I inspected the bulb socket and found that it was partly melted. I don't know If this may be the case with you, but have the dealer check it out. Get a quote from them and try to get the problem diagnosed elsewhere since I feel that I got shafted for $500. But I had to sell the car soon and had no choice but to pay the $500. Goodluck.

My cousin had that happen a lot with aftermarket bulbs for her BMW.
She took another solution is get HID's.
