For me the Cayman/Boxster is 95% of a 911 at 60% the price, and that last 5% doesn't convince me to get the 911 over either, although all three are great cars.

You can always get a 911 Cab.

which is like, the worst car ever haha

I love me some cayman... could care less about 911s, even if it's the better car.

If you are going to hit the track, then the cayman has more potential than the 911. mid>rear.

Pics for jellies.

So someone wound up buying my 2006 991s before I could: the dealer told me to show up at noon the next day to finalize the deal...lo and behold someone showed up that day after he called and bought the car. That's the thing with sports cars in this area, you need to make moves fast, can't beat around the bush and try and negotiate, too many freaking people here with money that will just snatch a car right away. Some of you may be used to going there and negotiating over a few days, but here sports cars come and go very, very fast.

I honestly have no clue what I'll wind up with, but I'm shooting for a Porsche, I miss my old ones too much. Oh well, the car search continues...

Lol, I owned e46 m3 and e92 335 and yet I am pretty worried about ims even in cayman. That thing can trash your engine. There are so little reports on this because not many people have high miles P cars

That fix is only good for the M96 engines, the M97 do not have a serviceable bearing - the engine case must be split, = new engine. So, if you're buying a 2006 or newer 911, the IMS should be a concern, as there is no retrofit for it, only a gamble of having a good car or getting a CPO 911 and hope Porsche covers it.

yup, nightmare. Sucks for owners and seeing their values go down down down.
