Nissan 350z, Mazda RX-8, or Subaru wrx-sti?

I would take a look at the EVO.
AWD, practical and cheap.
The others are great, but it all depends on how long you want to keep them for.
Z still and will always turn my head. Was shopping in Shinjiku the other day and was waiting to cross the streets when a silver Z went pass. The reaction on the crowds' faces was ..... wow :-) Drew more attention than the Elise that I saw earlier.

Hey Junk,
It's funny that you say the Z has more room since I have read others felt the Z felt really cramped. Never sat in a Z (yet), and I was only in the 8 for about 15 seconds, and felt so rushed that I couldn't take it all in.
Also, Rich, looks are so subjective. Really, you'll just have to wait for the 8 to come out and visit the dealer and make the decision for yourself. The reality is that whatever you decide, you will have a great car. Just great at different aspects. It really depends on what you want.
By the way though, from what I could see through the window of the Evo at the car show, all the money you are spending is for the performance of the car and maybe the seats. The interior is VERY bare bones, and I could never justify 30gs for that. That's me though, car is still a monster. I would expect the STi to be similar (since the WRX interior is hardly first class), but a little better from what I could see at the car show (about 7 feet away through an open door, hardly a quality view point). Some people say the Z interior is really nice, where others really hate it, and think it's cheap. Again, subjectivity gets in the way.
Again, good luck, but since two of your options, aren't even out yet, you might have a long wait.
