I'm in Nova though, so they are a lot higher here. You country boys down in Texas have it better.

I probably should suck it up and at least test drive the V. The CLS63's are still a bit steep.

As for the C63 prices, the new prices with options are very excessive. I'm trying to find the right '09 in the high 40's currently.
Since you're in the market, it wouldn't be torture to test drive the V and see what you think.

I love the new E-class, the old one just seems a little.....well...old now. C63 is relatively small with a pretty stiff suspension. CLS feels a little old too IMHO.

If I were in the market right now, it would probably be between the new E63 or the CTS-V. Wife doesn't like the chrome grille on the V, but I'm not sure she'd like me spending an extra $20-25k to get the E-class either.

Black grill

That's an easy fix .

The new E63 is a butterface!

That makes a big difference. Yeah, wouldn't mind a CTS-V. Wife doesn't like the Cadillac brand much and she's probably make me upload the C6 and the truck, so probably won't happen.

What about the S4 that you didn't like? I test drove it and I thought it was incredible. The interior, Quattro, supercharged engine, and S-tronic transmission were all awesome. I think it's the best bang for the buck at $50k brand new and it will hold it's value.

FWIW, the new S4 can clock a 12.9 @ 108 thanks to that god damn DSG.

We test drove one last week for my wife's new car, there's no way I was buying her a faster car than me! It was really nice though.
