I had the chance to enjoy one of these for 2 days and I am not a MB fan but now I really want one.

+1 for CLS55. Pure Sex. Plus you can get more power easily out since it's a blown car.

E63 is the best option. The CLS hasn't been the most reliable from what I've heard, but that's just 2nd/3rd hand info.

Have you tried a new-gen CTS-V?

That being said, it does not have the angry exhaust note that I'm in love with and the car will essentially be five years old.
5 years is not old at all (I have a 16 year old Mazda that I still enjoy immensley (sp?)).

Change the exhaust after purchase.

Used Porsche 911 (997) or Cayman S?
997s are in the mid to high 50s, Caymans are high 40s to low 50s.

CLS.

I wasn't impressed with the acceleration of the C63 and the interior wasn't great. Sounded good though.

No 911's or Caymans- I need 4 doors.

The M3 was very nice but IMO it only looks good as a coupe. Also, it really didn't feel on par with the power of the others cars in the running.

The S4 seemed like a clear-cut winner because of the AWD. After driving one, I loved the feel of the car but it felt sluggish. The car I have now feels quicker.

No more CTS-V's for me. I still have the awful taste of the previous generation one I owned. I will never buy another for as long as I live.

I'm going to see if I can drive all three of these back-to-back again.

It is when you are talking about a Mercedes. Especially if the previous owner put a number of miles on the car. I would personally never buy a 5 years old Mercedes unless it is one of those low mileage, rare finds.

I would go for the C63. It has all the performance you are looking for, is a lot newer and would hopefully have very low miles. Shop around, you can do a lot better than $70,000 for a C63. I am seeing dozens of Mercedes dealers selling cars at a profit loss in order to move some metal. Dealerships make all their profits on service and F&I anyway . There are ample deals to be had.
