good call.
if you want to see some amazing engineering find a good article about the AWD system on the 959...it was heavy, but it was also amazing. It was sooo much better then the ones they use now. It just ended up being to complicated for use on production vehicles so porsche wen to simpler versions for the AWD 911's since then. It had some 6 clutches....lots of cool tech. This car was way ahead of it's time.

that's why it's such a shame it was never that successful in road racing, albeit it won the paris dukar several times. and that's not exactly an easy task, especially considering the competition consisted of full-blown built-for-the-dirt trucks with suspension travel measured in feet, not inches!
