This week... 1997 Porsche 911.

Last week... Audi S4 Avant (B6) with manual trans.

Week before... New Mazda Miata

Week before... Subaru STi

Rather open ended question OP

For me, either stretch to an Eli$e or give up on performance cars and get a Prius/whatever.

Give up on performance cars and get a Prius???

I personally would look at a certified Cayman S or an Elise or a 370z Nismo.

Lol, I'm the same way, only I really want to go relatively cheap on my next car as my life situation is so volatile, so for me it constantly swings from another s2000, s197 mustang gt, 07-08 Z, c5 vette, then I go nuts and think Z4 M coupe and C6 vette, lol. Lately I'm leaning on the stang because of the value, 300hp, rwd, back seats, power everything, leather (albeit crappy leather), big trunk, rock solid reliability, cheaper than a comparable Z.

TT just because of the looks and quality eventhough it has reasonable performance too.

C6 Z06 although it really feels nothing like a S2000 in power, resposniveness, size etc but is a fantastic all around performance car.

If I had to get something that resembles the S2000 experience a bit more definitely Cayman S. Really like the 09+ but the 06-08 isn't bad either.

And of course, I voted with my wallet to get an Elise with a MP62 blower.

If I sell the S2000...

Acura NSX or Lotus Exige

But I'd rather keep the S and get a piece of 60's Detroit Iron with my top picks being...

64' Riviera

64-67' GTO (64 pictured)

68-69' Buick GS (69 pictured)

All can be had for less than 40k (Exige would obviously be used)
