The wheel arches/brake ducts look a bit awkward, but otherwise I like it a lot. F430 Modena performance in a package roughly 1/3 the cost. Yes please!

I hope GM is gonna put a three-spoke sport steering wheel in the new Vette. The generic Chevy steering wheel just seems so out of place in a gorgeous car like this.

Actually, that looks like the back tire. Notice the caliper is forward, whilst the front calipers are on the other side of the rotors.

Nope, those are the six-piston front brakes you're seeing. Notice the three little circles? The rear is supposedly a 345 width. Yeowza.

I imagine all non-AWD cars with 0-60 times under four seconds are traction limited.

I really hope that 2900 lb. weight isn't true. Why? Because I can't conceive of a way that Chevrolet could take 300 lbs. out of the car without making it much more expensive. For reference's sake, the C5 Z06 was about 100 lbs. lighter than the normal C5.

The C6 Z06 is a cool car whatever the price, but I hope they keep it accessible to average people -- I'd rather see a $50000, 3100 lb. Z06 than a $60000, 2900 lb. one.

I'm pretty sure the rear tires will be wider than 275, but from these pictures alone, the above picture looks like it belongs in the rear while the below pic belongs in the front.

The caliper in the above picture is on the right, while the one in the below is on the left. Explain that!

Nevermind! The above picture might've been taken on the other side.

I sorta disagree. The stock C6 is quite a bargain, and I would like to see a F430 fighter/beater even if it cost $70k. It sounds like the blue devil or whatever it's called is going to happen. It looks to be much more powerful and even lighter for around $100k. That gives the vette a pretty formidable lineup against the best cars in the world. Rumors/facts about the carbon fibre being in various areas are flying around. People mostly agree it will have an aluminum frame and carbon fibre bits, but they still argue on how much carbon and how much weight it will drop.

The stock C6 is pretty much on par with the old Z06 for mid-40's. I expect the new Z06 to push the envelope past the performance of the F430 just a bit (maybe not all-around, but single lap times and accel contests) for $65k - $70k and the blue devil should be quite a bit faster then the Ford Gt pushing into carrera GT and Enzo territory for 1/4 the cost.
