well if the audi influenced the new 'z', it probably was done indirectly by the influences of the lexus sc430, anyhow they both look better than the TT, which the designer had some kind of a hard on for the circle, cause sh*t look at the thing, you either see a circle or an oval, vents, shift knob, roof line, tailights, headlights, fenders, gas tank, roll bars, uggghhh, too fruity for me

The new Z car is tall and bloated when I see it next to the original. Lots of things have similarities with a newer or older model. A dead horse on the way to the glue factory looks a lot like the beautiful horse grazing out in the field, but I would not give you a dirty dime for the one on the truck.
I'm not ragging on the Z just because I don't like the way it looks, I'm ragging on the new Z because Nissan has a history of screwing things up when they try and fix them. Frankly I'm amazed the new Altima looks as good as it does, Nissan must have gotten some freelance help. I look at the new Frontier and see the ugliest truck I have seen in a while. I see the new Sentra and I see the same ugly Frontier front end on the car.

Nissan has had a lot of problems in the last decade or so, maybe it was bad or stupid management. What you see today is Nissan returning to the Datsun days. With the 350Z, Nissan has taken many elements from the 240Z and passed them to the 350Z. Honda did the same with the S500, they took elements from the car and built a modern interpretation in the S2000! Comparing the S500 to the S2000 with its rounded body panels, you might say it also looks bloated too ! Can you imagine a 350Z with the the Track Package option and a Turbo on that 3.5 liter engine. OMG
It's still not a roadster ! I truly love driving topless.
