Default New RSX type S consuming Oil!

Hi Everybody-
Brand spankin' newbie here with first post!

Being that your motors and ours are virtual cousins in the honda family, i thought i would ask if your cars consume oil too Some of the type S' DO consume some oil- mine included. Added over a half quart with under 3,000K mi. Some say these motors do this during break in and should get better over time??. I really dont mind checking and adding oil accordinly, but with a new car it just seems strange to me- im also keeping the dealer posted as well if things turn worse.

Its not unusual for a new car to consume some oil until the engine is broken in with a few thousand miles. Keep an eye on oil level and top off as needed.

Please excuse me, but I think this post is more appropriate for the Car Talk forum. I'll be moving it (unless some one beats me to it) shortly. No offense intended.

The S2000 burns a little for the first 1000 miles or so. My brother has an RSX-s and his burned oil for more like 3000 miles.
