I think it'll be gorgeous and will sell like hot cakes like the cayenne. This is a test mule and they have simply plastered the boxer rears as the tail lights..

This is what a receng mag showed...

That is only FUGLY Vehicle. Ofcourse if Porsche can convince people to buy the pepper then I don't see why they will have a difficult time selling this ugly sedan.

This is exactly what I thought when I saw it. Japanese car designers must be the best in the world because more and more German car companies are borrowing Japanese design. The flank does look like a Lexus GS from the flank (and I know that Giorgetto Giugiaro was influential in that car's first generation design), but the rear looks heavy and ponderous.

However, Porsche is able to shift its SUV on a world full of boffins, and the Cayenne has to be one the the worst looking afterbirths on wheels. So Porsche will probably make lots of money with this.

Look at the magazine picture. Notice that the rear door cuts are so small that they would never work on a production four-seater. This is the concept which will bear a resemblance to the final production version but which will differ in proportion. I have a sneaking feeling that the disguised car is closer to the production version than we all think. The proportions of the car in the spy shots are much more road-worthy than the shots in the magazine.

These are the proportions of a nearly production ready car.

Porsche makes lots of money on cars that wouldn't win any beauty contests (except maybe the Cayman). Even the 911 is an old design, still attractive more because of what it is than based on pure lines and style. But, I bet that won't matter. It'll probably be a great car and sell like hotcakes. I've heard that the base cost will be > $120K plus you know about Porsche and its options, but even so there'll be a market.

And just as the Turbo Cayenne jumpstarted the "fastest SUV sweepstakes" this car will probably be a big player in the fastest 4 door...
