IMHO, air-cooled 911's are the height of Porsche goodness, style-wise. The new water-cooled 911's are appropriately nice-looking, with verrrrry nice aero, but the Carrera GT is a little excess.

is that a fixed rear wing? because if it is, i'm really not feeling it; it ruins the car's lines...
that state trooper-esque antenna isn't very attractive either... but i could manage, i guess

it will look VERY close to that. the car you see in the pics is a preproduction vehicle; notice how it has German plates - it is legal. the only difference between that car and the actual production vehicle is the tape over the tail/headlights and the antenna on the rear window.
maybe some different exhaust tips and some yellow calipers for the rear...

That is one of my favorite cars now which includes the 360 Modena. 
The GT Carrera has the tall wing like some of the American LeMans series 911's to get more downforce. Porsche is probably getting the GT Carrera for the 24hrs of LeMans race next year or building it up for race teams like Saleen did with the S7. I would love to see this car race in the 24hrs of LeMans. We have some great new sports cars coming out soon (Viper GTS, Porsche GT Carrera, Ford GT40). I wish I could have one of each with a 360 Modena.

now, if only it could have some active suspension (like in the F1 cars of the early '90s), that Carrera GT might actually outdo the Ferrari Enzo Ferrari (sorry, but every time i say that name, I can't help but laugh!). but i would so pick the Carrera GT over the Enzo, even without active suspension...
that Enzo is butt-ugly!
that doesn't mean i wouldn't drive it... i just wouldn't pay for it
