I vote: no new threads on the next NSX or Supra until Honda or Toyota offers official press releases with certain details regarding production cars. This is mid-2007. How long has there been speculation, particularly, about the next NSX???

Little does he know Hondas have some of the torquiest motors AT A GIVEN DISPLACEMENT. No 2L (NA, FI adds effective displacement) motor has more torque than the S2000. While it doesn't make its peak down low, even the S2000's low end torque is about even with most other 2L motors' peak torque.

I'd imagine the NSX will have about 375+lb-ft, which is about 75lb/ft per liter. Compare that to GM's 5.3L small-block with about 300 and it looks like a stump puller, huh? IMO, if a motor can't manage 60lb-ft per liter it is just leaving too much power on the table.

BTW, the torque per liter champ is the BMW S54 with 83 lb-ft per liter.

Hey, you rounded that down...give my M3 some credit, it's almost 83.5 lb-ft per liter. Oh and you're wrong unless you say non FI'd cars...the 335i is a little over 100 lb-ft. per liter which would crown the N54.
