Another way for Nissan to make more $$ from the rich.

I'd just be curious how much these inspections cost before I start saying "good job."
Well I applaud any type of out of the box thinking and variation which hopefully gets us to what we all really want, and that's to get the car covered under warranty always.

In time as this program rolls out and people take advantage of it, it will be refined and evolved (hopefully). We'll see.

did no one look @ the article?

2 seats, a cat-back exhaust (not even turbo back), new wheels, and dampers with springs.....$50,000. With all the rumours talking about what the Spec-V is gonna be like, why would any one buy these Nismo parts right now?
I care not of the parts, only the fact that Nissan has a track warranty with stipulations.

That was the point of this post.

I agree it is a step in the right direction, but definitely not a leap.
We understand that in your eyes anything related to the GTR is not a leap.

Then I don't think you read the article 100% correctly before you posted it. Not trying to sound negative, because its car news and it certainly deserved to be posted. But NISSAN does NOT have a warranty on the car for track use. The warranty talked about in the article is on the NISMO parts that are installed on the car, not the car itself.

This is IMHO not a big deal, considering many aftermarket companies will back up their products in the case of failures. So basically what can go wrong with a seat, a wheel (besides bending), an underbody diffusor, an exhaust? I mean its nice that the dampers have a warranty, but still.

Seems more money and time wasted then gained from this. It would be a pain to go to the dealer every time you went to a track day, and I hate taking my car to the dealer haha.

Nissan inspector: "Mr. Jones...according to our diagonstics you redlined 4 times in a span of 2 minutes...therefore, we will have to deny your claim."

GTR owner: "BUT...BUT....I was trying to pass a Fit!!!"
