I love my S2000, but I think the continuing insinuations that any publication that slights the S2000 in any way is on the take are incredibly childish.

A long time ago when the S2000 first came out R&Tdid a comparo: S2000 v Boxster (S ??) v Z3 v TT and the S2000 won.
The Boxster S is sweet and straight up is better than the S2000, however it's cost is nearly double so there's that. I mean I'd rather have a S2000 and a WRX for the same price as a Boxster S.
They had to keep the tt because it's much improved with it's V6 and DSG tranny.
BTW the Nissan was last

I agree, the Boxster S is the better car -- but you have to pay more.

the S2000 is far and away the "smarter" roadster to get.
People here evidently felt that the S2000 was the best option, but which car is better isn't black-and-white like it's being portrayed.

wow some pretty level-headed comments here.....but i'd take a S2000 and $20K+ in cash than a boxster S...now if someone was going to give me a S2000 or a boxster S, of course i'd take the boxster S

I will agree with the article that for flat out the nicest, sportiest ride (of the 4) the Boxster S is the best car in that comparo. The Audi TT has the best interior of the bunch. If you really value a rich, nice interior, and supple ride w/ convetible top the Audi TT is a car worth considering. I agree with their assessment of the 350 Z (especially the "enthusiast" version they were testing) the cheap interior (which makes the S2000's materials feel like a Mercedes in comparison) is a real let down. It's essentially the anti-thesis of the Audi. If they took the real street value (about $7K-$9K off MSRP) into account for the Boxster S then it would make more sense. I agree it is a bit overpriced, but a hell of a car taken in totality.
