new Mazda Miata
#22
I don't think they will ever put the rotary in the miata. No matter how much sense it makes for handling and production runs. I think it would make the miata too costly. As well it would SUCK the gas down and ruin the affordability of the miata.
Which by the way is slowly decreasing, miata's are getting heavier and heavier with more options and more $$$. THey have to go back to basics!

Hehe ... smartasses ...
The pictures ARE NOT photoshopped. This is a chasis/powertrain test mule of the next gen Miata. It has slapped RX-8 front/hood/fenders so it can be driven on the streets ... This is not how the miata is gonna look like - it is just for testing.
If you had followed the RX-8 development - a couple years ago there were similar RX-8 test mules but with a Miata front ends etc. You can still see one of these mules in the museum at Mazda NA in Irvine:
It is photoshop too, right?
The upper part of the front bumper and headlights is Miata, the lower part is the last gen RX-7, IIRC the rear was from a Protege. Not sure what are the doors from - probably Protege too. Of course when went into the museum they detailed to be pretty and slapped some nice BBS wheels on it

the first pic is fake not because the body panels aren't matching......
it is photo shoped cuz the panels are actually out of phased from each other and 1 is actually "floating".....just look carefully...

someone please point it out in paint or PS where the lines meet. You can definetly tell it's been retouched, but some poeple just don't want to believe it. The retouching job is quite bad too. haha

I just talked to a guy who is responsible for the Miata project at Mazda North America HQ. He said the picture is not photoshopped - someone sneaked and has taken picture of a real test mule.
So all you "photoshop" smarties -> you are fired. LOL. next time don't try being smart about is the jpeg real or not because you have 0 skills for that
