The CSL will sell well enough here to warrant production if BMW wants to sell it here. We'll just have to sit back and see what happens.

I met a guy in the UK a few years back that had just taken delivery of a M3 CSL. Although, he had owned it for less than a month he already had it for sale. The reason was his 996 GT3 order had been bumped up to a GT3 RS.

I bet the new CSL M3 will be a very nice car.

One of the demerits against the M3 (IMO) is it's weight 34xx lbs, and the new M3 (I assume) is going to be 35xx lbs.

If the new M3 CSL gains some power and gets rid of some weight it should be (on paper) similar to the GT3.

Why compare two totally different vehicles? The M3, in its 4 seater coupe version, should not be compared to a sports car.
I don't agree. The 911 is a 2+2, so is a M3. Would that be a fair comparison?

besides - Any two cars can be compared to each other. ON PAPER- a Tiburon and a E46 M3 are comparable - V6, 2 door coupes. Whether its a realistic comparsion is up to the individual person comparing.

If you are a college student - a Tiburon or a prelude might be a decent option when compared to a 330i or a E46 M3.

MDX,

do you even know what a 911 is?

the M3 is a real 2+2...the 911 is not.

I compare my M3 to my wifes Altima... both silver with black leather. The M3 is nicer. end of review
