Yea, but the stupid BMW options menu never keeps the car NEAR the base price...

They advertise "M3 for 51,500." Then you get there, and its like, "You want paint on the car?" thats an extra $1000, stereo? $1000, HIDs? $1000, and before you get half way through the list, its almost 60K.

That's why u try to wait a year and pick up a pre owned with warranty with less than 10k miles and save $10-$15k.

A new M3 coupe (06) nicely equiped will be high 50,000 mid 60,000 range. I just can't see BMW selling the new M for almost the same price.

Very true. You would think when you are buying a 50k car, it would come with HID.....

I seriously doubt that it BMW will sell E90 M3 base price of 50kish. I think it will be more like 60kish, but who knows until it comes out.

I'll just save more money and get 997 GT3!! in like 3 years.....

BMWs weren't always like this with their pricing. When my family bought our e30, it didn't have any options. What you see is what you get. I guess they got smart and followed the rest so they can option you to death but still advertise the base price to lure you in. They are great cars, but I wonder why not all BMWs now come with "sport suspension". Isn't it still the "Ultimate Driving Machine"?

I want to see what the real production cars turn out in hp/tq vs. the press cars. Way to easy to juice up the turbo in those...lol

Will be a nice choice though, although BMW pokes you eyes out for every option. 10K soft in usable options before you are done.

Amer, you'll have to sell your firstborn to buy any CSL version. The amount of money BMW charges to take out 200 lbs will put the car into Ferrari territory.
