Car and Driver's lane change test ain't gonna make the girls at the bar stop laughing at you.
It's a shame, because I'm sure it's a great car. But that doesn't overcome the "I'm a loser" image it portrays, to me.

Nope. But I don't need a car that screams it to the world, either.
Remember this guy?
And what he drove?
The Fit reminds me of a modern Isetta.

As was already said, it's goodlooking compared to others in the class (except the Scion tC) but compared to "normal" cars, it's pretty homely. With larger wheels, a tasteful body kit, and lowered suspension, it actually looks pretty neat (ie, the Mugen Fit). My wife wants one of these - she keeps seeing gas [prices go up, she loves small cars, and this has decent room for its size (I'm told). It's a lot cheaper than the FX35 she wants, too.

And don't even get me started on that weird-ass "VIP" trend...

I voted for good looking but I have to admit I hate all the body molding added to the Sports model. I will probably be picking up some form of Fit in the next 6 months, but I really wish I could get everything that the Sports model offers EXCEPT for the god-awful plastic appendages.
