The new Honda Fit
#4
pics would be good.

Haven't seen one in person yet, hard to judge.
Looks good in pictures, better than the Yaris or Versa or the Kia/Hyundai twins.
Sorta reminds (in spirit, at least) of the old '88-'91 Civic hatches. Not really fancy but good at what they do.

You missed a category...fit for this guy:
Seriously, if there's a sequal to the 40 Year Old Virgin, I bet Steve Carroll trades his bike in on a Fit.
I think the Fit is kinda like a modern moped. Sure, it's probably gonna be pretty fun to drive, and your friends might agree in private, but in public, everyone's gonna laugh at you.

According to the lates C&D, it is actually faster than the Corvette Z06 in the lane changing test.
Come on. It is not that bad.

It's a shame, because I'm sure it's a great car. But that doesn't overcome the "I'm a loser" image it portrays, to me.

but the "I'm a loser" image still gets over 30 mpg . I like the way it looks from the front, but from the sides it looks kind of funny. Honestly i don't see how it can be considered loserish (is that even a word) to drive one of these, i mean people who own true exotics probably laugh at us with s2000s because we have "wannabe" sports cars. I would rock one as a daily driver, i mean i have an hour commute everyday in traffic so it doesn't matter what it looks like, as long as it's reliable and gets good gas mileage.
As far as the commuter aspect, you've got a 1g MR2 in your sig that I assume you get 30mpg in now, right? THAT is a cool commuter car. Even a used Civic (I used to get 34mpg combined in my 98 EX 5-speed sedan) or something, though slightly dorky, is 1000x cooler than the Fit.
My prediction? It follows the Xb and the Element as THE car to have in the 55+ "Active Adult" communities.
