Default New HHR SS

I'm not sure what class it's in, but according to autoweek it set a new class record by 10 secs. Seems like a decent value.

Anyone know what 'classes' they are talking about? FWD less then 300HP something like that?

i wonder how relevant that is. like how many times have its competitors actually bothered to go to the ring?

LOL WTF? HHR 'Ring times? This is getting out of hand. I've never heard of someone rocking the PT around the 'Ring to see how good it is.

^ Yeah, made me chuckle too. But, if the time is too be believed it beat the mini cooper S works by some 10+ secs too. The fastest time I saw for that car was 8:55.

edit: Taking my own advice. This is from sport-auto so the gap is probably closer.

Well I think it's an indication that GM started to think differently and is trying to build cars that handles well, and that's a good thing IMO.

Exactly. Its all about driving dynamics. You want to create that German road feel you have to engineer like them and design it in their playgrounds. The 'Ring is helping GM tremendously. Kudos to them. Plus it keeps the engineers away from the hell hole Detroit.

Lol, yeah. I'm amazed no knocks yet on the Coleman Cooler plastic interior or something along those lines.
At first I was thinking hmm, this is pretty retarded, an HHR on the ring... then I thought it;s basically a slightly bigger cobalt because the car really isnt that big, so in essence it;s a wagon. Anyway, kudos to chevy, the cobalt was a night and day difference from the cavalier even if it didn't quite hit the civic benchmark (although people are successfully tracking these cars.. but I think it has to do more with factory support and lower cost of admission and play then being inherently superior), i cant help but wonder what's going to replace it.

Where's that pic about 'Special Olympics' where they say "even if you win, you're still a retard". Sums up my feelings for the HHR

The thing that is even funnier than that is the HHR is nearly as fast around the ring as an S2000 only 4 seconds seperate them and the HHR is a ****ing wagon. Honda really needs to get to work.
