This story makes more sense to me since the GTR was heavily tested on the track and i'm sure Nissan knew the car would be taken to the track for some fun by many owners. I think most owners wouldn't remove the speed governor for just weekend track days, while people competitively racing the car would remove it.

Chevy stands by track use on the C6 and Z06 and dodge stands by the viper in a big way. $1000 inspection is one of the DUMBEST things I have ever heard. In the US they probably won't have that at all. They will just download you computer logs an see that you achieved some high G's and high sustained revs and void your warranty. GO NISSAN!

what's the point of buying a car with those type of performance numbers if you cant experience them safely while on a track?
I guess drivers are going to have to enjoy the performance while on the streets in order not to void the warranty, right?

shhh.. it's listening.
The GTR knows where you live and it has enough power to do a 3.3 seconds 0-60 right over your ass while you sleep. It'll probably talk shit while it does it too.

The question I have is, don't they run SPECTATOR track events at Suzuka? They are telling me that I cannot even go visit the track to watch an F1 race without voiding my warranty? That's just dumb.

I wonder who would win in a fight between the GTR and Chuck Norris.

I wonder what the 0-60 would be in GTR if Chuck Norris was driving....2 seconds flat?
