To say a Z06 is only a straightline performer means that you've never driven one..
That car practically makes up for any lack of skill the driver has, and rewards the skilled driver like no other. It's balanced, forgiving, and quick in the straights and in the twisties.. I can think of no other car that gave me the level of confidence I had in the Z06 when I got an opportunity to run it around a small closed track. And this was a C5..

And I think that concept for the GT-R is hideous and generic, can we say "boyracer". Good designs are subtle but distinct, .. a kind of gracefulness you don't find in most Japanese cars with a few exceptions such as the FD RX7, Supra, and NSX. But then again, it's all subjective. What's ugly to one, may be beautiful to another.. Now where are the keys to the dB9..

I've driven the C5 Z06 and I was not impressed. Personally I prefer my M3.

Everyone has there likes and dislikes, but I'm surprised that you like the M3 over the c5 z06. The M3 might have better luxury, but the z06 handles much better IMO. If you only got to drive the c5 in a straight line, you are really missing out. It is a blast to drive in an AutoX type fashion. Of course, I only drove the M3 on the road and didnt get a chance to really take it through really tough corners....

to all the posts about "nice looking" cars. beauty is subjective so the arguement will never end, its pointless.

to the post above, i think the R34 is pretty busy compared to its previous generations (R33, R32) which is why the R33 is my favorite skyline. the headlights, tail lights, and spoiler of the R34 are pretty "in-your-face". and the GTR wont look like that drawing, i have no proof of that opinion, but it just wont. more likely to be a G35 imitation.

Well, yes, looks are certainly subjective. That's why I try to quantify things with more definitely terms, like being subtle or outlandish.

I could see calling the R34 a bit more busy than the R32 or R33. But I definitely think they're all pale in comparison to the latest R35 pictures in that department.
