Wow, 2200lb and 700hp would be crazy. I just can't imagine ferrari getting the weight down so low. As someone else said, if the thing hits 2500lbs it'll be amazing.

I don't know, if you can afford a car like this, is fuel mileage really a concern?

I can't imagine them hitting 2200 lbs in a production car that meets emissions and crash standards. A 700 hp motor would either be a forced-induction V8 or a normally aspirated V10 or V12. All of those are fairly heavy engines (even in smaller displacements) so they'll have their work cut out for them.

Consider that many race cars aren't as light as 2200 lbs and they're completely stripped inside and have no amenities whatsoever.

This is starting to sound like the rebirth of the F40. I say bring it on.
Exactly what I was thinking, lightweight twin-turbo v8? Yes, plz.

What is all of this talk about the old enzo weighing 3,000 lbs?

I have always read that the curb weight was somewhere in the neighborhood of 2800 lbs.

also, this article is complete bullshit. Every single bit of it is speculation. They say it may be based on the FXX chassis, or on the F430 chassis. Well that's a pretty big ####ing difference considering that they have absolutely nothing in common.

What can I say, I never liked it. I saw one in Vegas. That and the Testarossa are the only two Ferrari's I don't like.

I do think the 360/430's are the most beautiful cars ever designed though. Not a Ferrari hater, the Enzo just rubbed me the wrong way.

This just looks odd to me, but in fairness, I think the design is more based towards maximizing performance than it is at sacrificing an once of performance to gain a little beauty.

100%

The org Enzo's rear end is too long in order to accommodate the V12. The F1 nose is too sharp and odd looking. I like the liftback style a la F430 much better. The drawing of the new one is just drop dead gorgeous.

Dry weight is 1255 kg - 2761 lbs.
But kerb weight, which we're more used to talking about, is 1365 - 3003 lbs.
