700hp and 2000 lbs. . . it's OK, I guess. Couldn't they save some weight somewhere? Does it really need FOUR wheels?

I guess we dreamers will have to wait for the FXX "lightweight" version.

I never thought I'd see the day Ferrari decided they needed to compromise with their designs due to fuel consumption...
2200 lbs and 700+ hp is NOT a designed compromise for fuel economy, IMO. Just ask Gordon Murray (McLaren F1 designer) and Lotus. Heck, this thing if real would have a better power-to-weight ratio than a Veyron. I would much rather them build something like this (not that I can afford any Ferrari anyway) than some bloated yet high powered thing.

Expected to be powered by a mid-mounted V8 engine, rather than the Maserati-based V12 that motivated the Enzo, power should easily exceed 700 horsepower. Though fuel efficiency is hardly a Ferrari selling point, the car must conform to more recent European Union standards
Key to addressing the fuel economy issue is a significant weight and size reduction
fuel consumption

Amen.

2200 pounds and 300 hp would be faster than 90% of what is on the road. 700hp is insane at that weight.

Front end is monumentally better looking than the first gen.

I like what they did with the back - going with the single taillamp and stacked exhaust tips a la the California.

2200 lbs is wishful thinking - that's 800+ lbs lighter than the 1st gen Enzo, 2-300 lbs lighter than the classic F40 and the legendary McLaren F1. This is approaching Lotus Elise territory. But if anyone can pull it off, it would be Ferrari.

2200lbs and 700hp? Yeah, I'll believe it when I see it. 700hp powering 2200lbs is virtually unusable.

It's been done before. The Ultima GTR. You can build one yourself as a kit car. 2178 lbs, up to 720 hp. Fastest car in the world 0-100-0 at one point. (Probably still is.)

I think the original Enzo was fugly, but I like the concept drawings. That one looks cool to me.
you are joking, aren't you? have you ever seen a real one in person? the Enzo is ugly car in your mind?

the design of side and rear end is so stunning. maybe headlights need to be more aggresive. but it's ugly???
