My numbers came from the dealership I just went to on Sunday and almost bought one. Then I went to ford and looked at the new focus as well. I like the interior of the new focus but for that price shit, I could almost buy a fully loaded v6 six speed accord coupe lol

Then your numbers must include some discount the dealer is giving you because I quoted the prices from Honda. It's possible that Honda is pulling a GM and pricing the car high so they can give a big discount. It's also possible Ford is doing the same thing. Either way, the Civic and Focus prices are either basically the same or Honda is having trouble and has to discount their cars while Ford is able to sell for closer to full price.

Look, you shot from the hip but the numbers you recalled weren't right. Them's the breaks.

A fully loaded ford focus with all the things your thinking about COST 27,000
So let's price out a Focus. To make things fair we will use the sedan that starts at $16,5 vs the hatch which starts at $18,2. That's only fair since Honda doesn't have a hatch. A Focus SEL sedan with leather and nav comes out at $23,5 with shipping. So that seems to be the same as the Civic... until you add shipping. If we wanted to get the hatch (the closest thing to Mr Green up there) we would get the hatch. With the same SEL+leather and nav we are at $24,3. That means the nice Focus hatch is basically the same price as a Civic sedan with similar equipment. Unless Honda charges nothing extra for the hatch that won't come to the US, well I would say your price comparison has been busted. The Civic and Focus seem to have basically the same price with, in this comparison the Ford being the cheaper of the two.
He was probably looking at a Focus with the Titanium package. I priced a sedan to $26,275 with the auto, moonroof, navigation and optional paint color.

The $28k Focus I mentioned was a Titanium package. In my prices for both the Civic and Ford I added only the minimum package that would include nav and leather. Both cars could be option up to more than the numbers I quoted. At the end of the day it's pretty clear to me the prices for the two cars are right on top of each other with the Ford being perhaps, slightly cheaper.
