I'm sure Chrysler figured out that it would be a low volume car and it wasn't worth the effort to recertify with a manual.

it still looks like it'd fit in at a day spa rather than the track, heck even the golf course!!

yea, that's a great deal. But, dealers are having to give them away to sell them. One dealer contacted me trying to sell theirs for over MSRP, telling me the car was "hot" on the market. RIIIIGHT.

Actually, the tranny case is the Same. the only difference in the SLR is the rear end. Same design (ALL AMG 5 speeds have forged internals) with different programmig to keep it from lunching the tranny.
