The day I bought it I bought a 7 year bumper to bumper OEM warranty that started on my day of purchase, not from the first day I leased it. That warranty was $1600. So 5k for a 5 year? Just more robbery.

The car is good, and obviously has its strengths. This nonsense, however, is utterly and completely ridiculous.

I paid something like $1,300 for a Cadillac extended warranty on my ATS-V. Granted, I bought from someone QuickAG recommended, but still.

just learned that for the entire country of Canada...the allotment of TypeR's is...15. One. Five. 15.

Canada has a population of about 37 million...about 10% of the US population give or take. There will apparently be no more arriving until mid 2023.

This car is great at MSRP.

Every car with ADM is dumb - the end. And, these days, every car is selling with ADM. Y'all talking about comparisons to Supras and Coralla GR based on type-R ADM price. News flash, you aren't gonna buy any of those at MSRP. Base model Porsche Boxsters, Caymans, Cayenes selling with ADM.

A god damn Rav4-Hybrid in my area is now on average selling with $6K ADM.

This whole list here of ADMs is dumb.... welcome to inflation 2022. JPow trying to put you out of a job by killing the stock market and thus kill demand.

Well that would make it hard to get one then! LOL

This is changing quickly. There's a lot of dealers willing to make deals now as the new car market has cooled; so has the used market. The Fed is steaming full speed ahead with more rate hikes, so many cars will be easier to get! Although, if Honda only make 15 units for an entire country, then yeah, they'll still command a significant premium over MSRP!

So, you're saying there's a chance?

If I had to buy a NEW car today, I'd strongly consider a CTR at MSRP. Heck, I just looked up an accord sport runs ~$34k msrp for the sport with the 2l turbo.

Yes I'm not saying the CTR is some amazing deal or masterpiece. I'm just saying it seems like it offers some fun at a semi-reasonable price compared to other new cars. Maybe it's a moot point if it can't be had for MSRP. Prices are crazy on new cars. Yes, I've said before and will continue to say the GR86/BRZ is a helluva deal (probably the best performance deal out there hands down), but being a 2 door limits the practicality for many folks.

The BRZ definitely seems like a better deal now that the prices of the newer cars have come out. Mine was $33k OTD, which seems like a steal at this point.

I think we are getting a very limited amount over a three year period, much less than the past gen. I thought that I read 400 units in three years total (400/3), but it sounds like this year's numbers are far below that level.
