new civic si

Nah, mostly all the Honda dealers are having problems selling the Si. It just doesn't have the appeal of the previous generation Si. $2,000 under invoice is the norm now. So $15,999 will pick you up a brand spanking new Si with 2-10 miles at most.
Besides, it has to be the UUUUGLIEST Civic ever.. but that is just my .02..

Since we're on the topic of the butt ugly Si, out of morbid curiosity, I test drove one.... Once I got over the disgusting exterior, my friend convinced me to take it for a spin. I kindly obliged and was pleasantly surprised.
As ugly as the shifter looks on the dash, it is extremely well positioned and easy to use. The throws are fairly short and smooth as butter. Handling still stinks but the ride quality is stellar.
Pros
Definitely has a good amount of torque down low. With 3 people in the car and a/c on full blast, it moved effortlessly from a standstill.
The clutch was the best I've felt on any Honda, very easy to modulate. Dare I say that even a person who doesn't know how to drive a manual could operate it with little effort.
No rattles or squeaks to be heard no matter how bad the bumps were on the road.
You could barely hear the motor underneath the hood under normal acceleration. Heck, it wasn't even loud at full throttle.
Cons
I'm sorry but that 6500 rpm redline STINKS!! Just when the car comes alive, you hit the rev limiter.
There is a HUGE gap between 1st and 2nd, and I don't mean spacing of the gears, I mean the gear ratios are just not right. Redline it in 1st, hit second and the car bogs as it struggles for a little bit in 2nd. Perhaps this was done on purpose to get rid of those 2nd gear grind issues.. Something that not only plagued the S2k, but my previous car, the 99-00 Si coupe.
Another bad point about the new Si, not only does it LOOK like a minivan, it FEELS like a minivan when driving it around.
Fun factor of the previous Si is gone. It is just a little too commuter, the sportiness that existed in the previous gen Si is long gone.
Overall, it's a great car for daily driving.. but I would never buy one..

Great build, terrible concept.
When they first came out they were getting over sticker for it. I walked in the dealership, and was almost thrown out because i was laughing so much. When I told him i didnt even pay one on my S he kinda got upset at me.
With cars like the Mini popping up, its bizarre why Honda would even attempt something like this over here. And not bringing the Type R, almost comedic.
