New car for GF... thoughts/opinions?

Some of the opinions here make me . THe M3 gutless? It's not an AMG C63 for torque, but it never fails to get out of its own way, and is genuinely fast when you rev it out.
It's still the standard bearer IMO for best all-around car. I've driven a couple of CTS-V's (at Circuit of the Americas), and the extra toque comes w/ quite a weight penalty. It's a great car, but I still prefer the M3. Should Caddy come out w/ an ATS-V, the competition could stiffen.

So my girlfriend wants to buy a new car, and me being a car enthusiast, I'm onboard with whatever high-performance car she wants to get.
So we've discussed it quite a bit, but I love seeing some of the ideas you guys present in Car Talk, so let's hear it!
So far we've test-driven an '09 IS-F (if buying, we'd get a 10+ for the rear LSD.)
IS-F Pros: Lexus fit and finish, superb reliability, good MPG, a car you don't have to be afraid of owning after warranty, can be had Lexus CPO, sounds great, fun to drive, great engine, looks good, comfortable, fast enough.
IS-F Cons: Not available in 6-speed. My GF is sad that it only comes in automatic and hates the paddle-shifters.
Other cars we are going to test drive (you can guess which ones I suggested hahahaha ) :
C6 Z06
09+ CTS-V
Mustang GT 5.0
Subaru BRZ
BMW 135i/335i CPO
BMW 1M (if we can find one to test drive)
Amy ideas, input? GF is a 25 year old Asian female, so keep that in mind. She won't consider an Evo or STI, either. She likes nice interiors.

Which it is since one of his complaints about the M3 is "Guzzles gas". Also, M3 gutless? It's as fast as the 5.0 Mustang but way better built, better looking and there isn't 20 every time you go out for a drive.

Flat torque curve of what, 230-250 wtq? That's pretty weak, sorry. Who cares if it's flat if it's so low? S2000 has a flat torque curve too.
Also, I drive a 2.0L 4 cylinder motor with a closer ratio gearbox than an S2000. I know how to work a gearbox, quite a bit better than you I'm sure.

How does 0-60 time have ANYTHING to do with how a car outputs low-end torque and how good it feels to drive around town? My car does 0-60 in 3 seconds flat, does that mean I'd want my girlfriend to daily drive it? No, because it's a high-revving motor that has to go into boost to make the huge torque it does. Again, the M3 by 'driving around town' standards, for those that want responsive torque, IS gutless. There is no denying that.
My E30 had 200-230 wtq torque curve from 2800 RPM til 7200 RPM, and it was a 2600 lb car. The M3 only has 30 wtq more at peak in a 1200 lb heavier car! Sorry, I love the current gen M3, but it doesn't fit her wants/desires in a car.
Also, if we did the BRZ, I'd throw in a positive displacement blower on it. Robispec (an affiliate of mine) has one and it's putting out like 250~ wtq at 3000ish RPM. Feels GREAT. Monster of a track car, currently the fastest FRS/BRZ in the US but still able to be daily driven.

Z06 isn't that bad. I haven't sat in a loaded BRZ interior, and yeah the Mustang is kinda eh. I want her to give the American cars a chance though!!

Just buy her a bike. Most bikes are quicker than all you have mentioned. And if you want luxury put in heated hand grips. Thread over. Why bother asking everyones opinion if you are just going to knock them all down. Just have her drive all of the cars you mentioned, weigh out the prices, and buy it. There is no real science behind it.. Girls usually dont care about numbers anyways.
