i had a 35-45 year old woman in one next to me the other day. we started accelerating (normal, not racing) from a stoplight, and i could hear the supercharger, it was funny.

The BMW dealership gave me a Mini-S 6 speed for a loaner a couples weeks ago. My GF hated how people would always stare at the car but it was a lot of fun to drive, especially since it was a loaner! I almost took it autocrossing but they finished up the work on my car.

Congrats! I have an '04 Cooper S. It's so much fun to drive as a daily driver. They spunky quick (not fast) and I get as much attention from people as if I were driving a Viper or something. I have 35,000 miles witout incident. I belong to a MINI club and the litle cars are very reliable and bullitproof for driving hard and modifying.

I love those little cars. They are by far IMO the most fun FWD cars available in the states. It's hard to drive one without a smile on your face.
congrats, nice choice...driven a few and had a smile on my face every time......now only if they made an AWD or RWD one

I would think if it was RWD they would spin so easliy because of the short wheelbase.

I hear they are replacing the superchager with a turbo? Sounds like a nice combo.
