Default New BMW Roadster

Some spy shots of a new BMW roadster. Not sure what the designation will be. Even with the body hiding panels, some angles look familiar...especially the rear.

Too early to call one way or the other. It's rumored to be the next generation Z8, and will be called the Z9.

The pre-production Z4 test-car had similar soft-top so I doubt that's how the final version will be for this car. No way in hell BMW ever uses a plastic window for their convertibles.

Is there a market for a Z8 replacement? If this is a next generation Z4 then I think it has the potential to be an improvement in styling over the current Z4.

Looks a bit generic to be a z8 replacement. Guess we have to wait and see.

i thought they were adding a Z2, a smaller vert top.

Then they could get rid of the Z4, as too close to the Z2....and have an option for a new larger vert, but not quite in the Z8 vein....

No way it will have an odd number like 9 - those are all 4-door cars (3,5,7).

Gotta be an even number if it's a 2-door.

You're a bit behind in the news.

BMW was gonna go with that, but decided to drop the idea altogether. Hence why the next generation M3 is gonna be called the M3, and not the M4 that they were originally going to, and why there's now the 335 coupe, and not the 4 series.
