In san diego there is a 12 month waiting list for the M3 at least at every dealer in a 100 mile radius, Trust me I called them all this weekend. MSRP off the lot is out of the question, you can get a M5 at MSRP out here but you have to look and be open about your color choices.

The lowest price I have every seen in person was 47,995 it was a no option car that was purchase for track use. I think ~52,000 is the average with normal options but the price can go up real quick.

Sterling BMW in VA sells M3's at MSRP.

You can call any BMW dealer in the country that will sell at MSRP and take their "performance delivery option" in their Spartenburg S.C plant.

You even get driving classes on their test tracks with the exact car you have purchased on the day of pickup.

~$53000 is about right. I was talking to an M3 owner after their monthly M-Club meeting here in Dallas (viper club has their meeting at the same location after them). The guy said that was how much it was after TT&L. I didn't ask him about availability, though. I wouldn't mind having one of those as a daily driver.

Wouldn't that be weird that your toy car is cheaper than your daily driver?

Forget about getting one here in Greenville, SC. They hardly sell the new cars at MSRP. If I ever buy a bimmer, it will be in Atlanta instead. You can expect better deals there.

Does anybody know any dealerships in Texas or Louisiana that are selling M3's for MSRP? I've pretty much accepted that fact that I'm never going to get a "popular" car for MSRP here in Houston. I've had to go to LA to get my last 2 cars for MSRP! Any leads would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried the Dallas area? I heard that there were some here for MSRP but I don't know for sure. I got this info from an M3 owner.

You can come up here to Oklahoma and get one for MSRP in OKC at Jackie Cooper or in Tulsa at Crown.
