Default New Bike BMW F650GS

I have considered alot of bikes. Duc monster, CBR, FZ1, etc. I haven't ridden a bike in 12 years and I just wanted something fun to get around on.

Being in Korea I thought it would be useful to have a dual purpose bike so I ended up with the 2007 BMW F650GS. It has ABS, Heated handgrips, acc port for heated jacket and nav, tons of low end torque. Adjustable preload on rear suspension for on and off road or if you have someone on the back.

The dealer here was great. Got a good deal on last years model. Only thing is speedo is in KM. Oh well.

Not the fastest bike but sure is fun! I still want a sports bike though.

It stops all the crap being thrown up of the back wheel and over the bike.

I guess you'd call it a mud guard

Only short to stop a build up, doesn't need to be bigger as the underside of the tailpiece collects the rest

Nice bike, my brother has one.

Enjoy

thanks guys. i've got about 700 miles on it now. took it up to the North Korea/South Korea DMZ for some trails. just gotta watch out for the land mines. j/k

it's a great commuter for seoul. i have had to hop some curbs and drive over some weird stuff. man, how am i going to drive when i get back to the US? you know the cops don't stop bikes for ANYTHING? plus since they don't have front plates you can't get tickets for speeding. why didn't i get a bike sooner?

you can't take them on the highway here though. weird.

Yeah, no kidding. My S2000 doesn't even have heated seats!

I tell you what though, the abs brakes have saved me a couple times so far.
