Congrats!! Engine won't fail but intercooler pump probably will a few times. First mod is usually an upgraded cooling kit. Be safe with it.

Are they really that finnicky and expensive to maintain?

I lost my S recently due to some moron driving while texting and I'm car shopping for something with an auto now.. Nerve damage = hard to push clutch pedal in

I've actually been surprised by the fuel mileage. After a weekend of heavy-footed driving, I achieved 17mpg overall. It may be a factor of the high altitude here in Colorado.

I'm really enjoying this car. It gives me the vibe of a modern day GNX.

What do you think about the FEEL of the brakes/steering compared to your 2 last cars? Congrats she sure is nice.

Steering feel is not bad. I'd say it's better in feel than the S2000, but short of the Evo's granular steering feedback. The brakes feel a bit strange. The system is brake by wire, without the conventional mechanical linkage. Braking is fine in hard application, but takes some getting used to in bumper-to-bumper driving.

hmm you're the last person i thought would be smitten by an e-class.

it's certainly quick in the straights, but i found everything else pretty OK. steering is whatever. braking is whatever. it needs those huge brakes because of the huge weight. the interior isn't very luxury either cuz you'd think they'd have at least a stitched leather dash on these things.

i dunno walt... i just think you're going to get bored with this car quick. good value now, but long in the tooth at the same time. i saw you more as an M over AMG kinda guy.
